Wow, I cannot believe I’ve entered into my third trimester! Now, I feel like time is passing by super fast.
In the beginning of my pregnancy I was so sick, it felt like time was passing by super slow. Now that I’ve regained my energy and I’m in full swing with work and other projects I feel like it’s definitely passing by too fast. I’m officially done with graduate school, and I feel such a relief. It was definitely a priority for me and I can’t juggle too many things at once, so I decided to put a halt on other things to make sure school was taken care of. Education is so important for me and making sure I finished my master’s was on top of everything else. I want to make sure I lead by example for my son. He is going to have some good role models surrounding him, and that makes me so happy.

Pregnancy Update
So far everything is going great. I have gained about 28 pounds, so I’m starting exercise more and eat healthier. I feel so heavy already, and my back has been killing me. I do notice the more I walk the better I feel, and that’s been motivating me to do more walking.
I had a miscarriage 2 years ago on June 10th, 2015. I’ll never forget that day, and it was one of the worst moments of my life. My husband and I were devastated. After that heartbreak we kept trying to get pregnant, and it wasn’t happening. When I found out about this pregnancy (almost 2 years later), I didn’t let my husband nor myself get too excited. I didn’t want to feel that devastation and heart ache all over again. It wasn’t until, I was about 12 weeks when we heard the heartbeat and saw the ultrasound that we believed it was happening. Everyday I wake up, and just thank God for allowing us to experience this miracle. I am beyond thankful to be able to experience this pregnancy and with every kick Alessandro gives me, I just say, “thank you God.”
Pregnancy isn’t easy, you go through so many physical changes. Your body transforms and you feel so many aches and pains. But like I told my husband, these are pains that I’d gladly take on. The weight gain, the food restrictions, the heartburn, not being able to sleep comfortably, being 1000 degrees hotter than everybody else, and everything in between is all worth it. It’s crazy how the second you know you’re pregnant all your instincts kick in. I take care of myself so much, and I’d do anything to make sure our baby is healthy and safe.
These next 3 months, I’ll be graduating, moving into our new house, having our baby shower, going on our baby moon, and I’m so excited to share all these special moments with you all.
